Let's kick things off with an audio firestorm made up of a sample Dave Grohl's certified best drumbeat paired with Rusty Redenbacher's right-angled snarl. Then, like playlists do, let's immediately switch gears from heavy and straight, to light and twisted; it's Canhoto, Ted Somerville's little programming project. "Jeito Janelle" has a nice dub feel to it and somehow, despite the fact that it's bright everywhere "Iron Man Monster Factory" is dark, it feels like an appropriate motion.
Despite the fact that I've been at this for well over a year, there are still constantly more artists on this archive here that not only have a never listened to, I've never even noticed staring at me in the alphabetical lists. The Here Now. Hanz Bronze. Even if they're not new to you, spend a little time. It's worth it.
The whole playlists spends its time quietly building to the thunderous final statement of "#NAPTOWN pt. 2," with its Brookinz beat, and features from fire emcees, it's the sendoff you need to make your (or, at least, my) drudge of a job feel a smidge less bleak.
