Mercifully, Elmore Leonard never had much to say blog posts about playlists and if it's chill to start them off with the weather because, holy crap, the weather these last few days has been bonkers for December. I posted up in Cincinnati over the weekend with my pals and we went to a bar and we sat outside and we were WARM even though we couldn't get within spitting distance of the fire pit because of the weirdness emanating off of this trio people too drunk to vibe. I bet you could've done the same thing in Indianapolis, but I didn't get the chance to try, and I've got to do me.
Anyway, warm December weather makes me itch to drive around and listen to music in the preternaturally 70 degrees Fahrenheit grayness. Extra Blue Kind, I appreciate your splendor on days like these. Same to you Vegetables, Jookabox, Algebraists. I can't really make a convincing argument that these songs flow together in any reasonable or High Fidelity-worthy way, but they've all got the lovely benefit of sounding nice in my car stereo.
Perpetual thanks and good will to Smallbox for helping to make these playlists possible.
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
