The band was formed in early 2007 by Brandon Beaver and Jilly Weiss. They immediately closeted themselves in a storage unit in their home town of Indianapolis. The result was a year of writing and recording and a full-length record that never saw the light of day - because it just wasn't exactly right.

Early in 2008 Trevor Wathen and Matt Hagan rounded out the sound and the current lineup was formed. The four moved into a house in the foulest neighborhood in the city and turned that house into a studio. Thus was born the HEX HAUS - a moniker used for the band's homestead, studio, and record label. Over the course of the last year the band has written and recorded dozens of songs - thirteen of the best have made it onto their debut Gloom Bloom. With relentless touring and an EP release scheduled for 2009, you are bound to hear much more from WE ARE HEX. Stay Tuned.
