Mike Shimmercore has been writing and performing music in the Indianapolis, Indiana area since 2000. Among the several bands Mike has performed with include Pop Lolita, Red Light Driver, The Shivers, Thee Pernicious UniCats, Playboy Psychonauts, and The Shake Weights. A new solo album of is due for release in mid-March 2011. The 13 song album is titled, "Dronelands" and can be described as feedback ballads for wayward shoegazers. Mike continues to play in several bands in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and plans on releasing more solo albums in the near future.
