I soon switched to guitar at 13 and began to write using piano and electric conn organ the following years. Started playing drums at 14 and recorded first solo albums at the age of 14. Two or three different albums were recorded. at 15 another album was recorded of b-sides , mostly acoustic, some using drum machines or simple percussion.
I started playing bass with Nate Wilson on guitar and vocals and Danny Reynolds on drums. I also recorded some casette tapes worth of practices and songs when I was maybe 12 or 13, some bass, some guitar left handed or a right handed guitar upside down.
We used a kareoke machine to record and amplify the vocals.
Next was a group titled Bad Habit that consisted of Geoff Haase , Cyrus Felton , Eric Green, and Nate Wilson.
The band eventually split off to form The Resolutes , with Nick on lead vocals and guitar with Geoff on bass guitar and guitar during the Lee Yoder period and back up songwriting,
The Resolutes started with Lee Yoder on drums, switching between Bass Guitar with Nate Wilson. Geoff stayed on guitar and Stuart Hodge played keys and synths.
Nate Wilson took over on drum kit and Geoff switched to bass guitar for the Resolutes last EP.
Nick began work on his first solo album while the Royal Nonesuch kept Cyrus Felton as lead singer and rhythm guitar while Nick provided lead and backup vocals and guitar .
Nick also provided guitar for instrumental band Sheeple and The Metaphysical .
After his first solo album recorded from 2005-2006 that was officially released and printed and sold, Nick worked on a double album. It was titled Acoustic / Electric circus, and all the songs were lost. Some may re-surface in the album being worked on and set for a late Summer release date.
