started when Frankie Camaro having finished College, looked to start a Surf Punk band, found local skaters from The Resistors: Ross Danielson and Greg Phillips at a street dance, and formed the band. While in Indiana, we played a lot of fun shows at The Academy in Indy with the Zero Boys, at Bloomington South High School and local parties and in Dunn Meadow. Also played at the Bluebird and Marion High School. Moved to Austin Texas in 1984 and recorded the unreleased record Congo Road. So now it has been finally mastered thankfully by Kevin Loyal who did a fantastic job.
The name Moto-X is from the surf song Mr Moto which we learned early on before we had a name. I saw a sign across from Grissom Air Force Base on US 31 near Peru, which said "Moto-X" (as in Motocross racing) and I said that's going to be the name of the band. It didn't really mean motocross racing as much as Mr Moto but I don't think most people knew the origin of the name.
