The Last Good Year started their musical career by winning the 2007 Indianapolis Music Scene "Battle of Birdy's", taking home $10K and releasing their self-titled debut record shortly after.

The Last Good Year started their musical career by winning the 2007 Indianapolis Music Scene "Battle of Birdy's", taking home $10K and releasing their self-titled debut record shortly after.

After growing their local fanbase in 2008, TLGY hit the road in 2009 playing shows all across the country. Playing with bands like Gym Class Heroes, Saliva, AutoVaughn, and Jon McLaughlin. The Last Good Year also made an appearance at the 2009 RedGorilla Music Fest in Austin, TX.

Also in 2009, TLGY won the Indianapolis Hard Rock Cafe "Ambassadors of Rock" contest and went on to be selected as top 5 finalist in the national competition. Along with that honor The Last Good Year was also a finalist in Alternative Addiction's "The Next Big Thing".

2009 was a productive year for The Last Good Year and was capped off by signing a contract that will feature three of their songs on the Rock Band Network. The first of which will be Lipstick Cigarette, followed by Racecar Driver and Road To Ruin. The first song is scheduled for an April 2010 release.

Expect great things from The Last Good Year in 2010. Like a brand new record and another national tour.... (and loads of fun playing their songs on Rock Band).
