James Allen (20, Grand Rapids) has been generating underground buzz over the last three years, quietly releasing his bedroom recordings on the internet under various monikers (Self, Youth Camp, Jimmy Pop). JADE TV is the name he's chosen for his first full-length record, and his first release with Jurassic Pop Records. On Parallel Moments, Allen eschews his normal hushed minimalism and embraces endless layers of intricately looped guitars and meticulously programmed drum machines. Similar to Beach Fossils or Wild Nothing, James pulls from 80s Goth and Dream-Pop to create beautiful bedroom maximalism that is at once accessible and deeply personal.
