  • Next show in Bloomington is this Friday September 10th!! Here are the details:

    EMBER SCHRAG (Lincoln, NE)
    http://www.emberschrag.com/
    http://www.myspace.com/emberschragmusic
Originally a classical pianist, Ember Schrag, 24, has been writing and performing constantly almost from the very minute she jumped ship for the guitar eight years ago. Ember’s first full-length studio effort A Cruel, Cruel Woman (Lone Prairie Records) came out this June, on the heels of eleven watercolored self-releases. Influenced by Wi...ll Oldham, Nick Drake, Sibylle Baier and poet Anne Carson, she writes literate, dreamlike songs that draw on stark prairie landscapes and fanciful revisions of obscure Old Testament tragedies.

Ember lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she started the Songwriter Power Ranger series and Clawfoot House (a house venue for experimental, indie/folk, traditional and classical music and other arts events), and the Clawfoot Salon for female musicians.
