Lauren Moore, Emil Hyde
"The members of Galaxy Class met when Chicago synth programmer Emil Hyde stumbled across a concept album based on the cult sci-fi TV show "Firefly" that Indianapolis vocalist Lauren Moore had posted online. They began passing tracks back and forth, bonding over a shared appreciation of Joss Whedon, Doctor Who, video games, The Knife, Queen, M83, and Abba. Five months later, Galaxy Class' debut EP 'Deep Magic' was completed. Synthesizers, sci fi, singing, sadness - the duo create a dreamy, danceable strain of electronic rock, covering Kanye West and referencing Doctor Who in the lyrics. Fans of M83, Imogen Heap, Kate Bush, Florence & The Machine, Client, and Metric should definitely check it out."
