About: | Annabel;Lee was a four-piece indie/emo band that existed from 1999-2003 in Winona Lake, a small but wealthy lake community in Northern Indiana with religious historical significance and a respected theological seminary. Despite this permeation of spiritual overabundance, Annabel;Lee arose as a distinct voice of rebellious intent which questioned the traditional values surrounding them. Although formed from the ashes of countless local hardcore, metal, and punk bands, the early works of Annabel;Lee presented a more reserved, emotional introspection into relationships, philosophy, and other topics of personal value. With maturation, their sound formed into a potent blend of intricate guitar interplay, sharp lyricism, and a barrage of half spoken, half screamed vocals from nearly every member. In addition to influencing countless local bands from numerous generations both during & after their existence, the members of Annabel Lee have continued their individual musical journeys. - Auris Apothecary, 2015 |
